Discovery Ridge Dam Safety Project – Technical Information Session
As part of The City’s Pond Maintenance and Dam Safety Programs, engineering and condition assessments were completed on the Discovery Ridge Dam (Discovery Ridge Pond – just west of Discovery Ridge Gardens). The assessments showed that a portion of the dam’s embankment had potential slope stability risks and a dam safety review outlined several additional deficiencies.
Following the community information session held on November 20, 2025, and in response to questions received, the City will host an in-person technical information session to review the following reports:
- Dam Safety Review – Stantec (2024)
- Mitigations and Remedial Options Report – KCB (2025)
This session is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to keep residents informed and engaged.
