As you may be aware, ENMAX Power Corporation (ENMAX) has been directed by Alberta Transportation to relocate the existing single circuit 138kV ENMAX 7.82L transmission line to accommodate construction of the West Calgary Ring Road project. Stakeholder engagement commenced in March 2019 with open houses held in March and June 2019. In April 2020, the Alberta Utilities Commission approved the _south-central_ route for the alignment. Please be advised that construction is scheduled to commence on September 6, 2021 and will continue for approximately seven weeks. This work will involve ENMAX crews and contractors installing new steel transmission poles within the Transportation Utility Corridor (TUC), north of Discovery Ridge. Residents directly adjacent to the work zone will receive a physical copy of the construction notice by courier.
