SUMMARY:Discovery Ridge Dam Safety Project - Technical Information Session
DESCRIPTION:As part of The City’s Pond Maintenance and Dam Safety Programs\, engineering and condition assessments were completed on the Discovery Ridge Dam (Discovery Ridge Pond – just west of Discovery Ridge Gardens). The assessments showed that a portion of the dam’s embankment had potential slope stability risks and a dam safety review outlined several additional deficiencies. \nFollowing the community information session held on November 20\, 2025\, and in response to questions received\, the City will host an in-person technical information session to review the following reports: \n\nDam Safety Review – Stantec (2024)\nMitigations and Remedial Options Report – KCB (2025)\n\nThis session is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to keep residents informed and engaged. \nTechnical Information Session – January 29\, 2026 at 6:00 pm \nThe City invites you to attend an in-person technical information session on Thursday\, January 29\, 2026\, at 6:00 PM.
