The countdown has officially begun…..9 more sleeps until Music in the Park (and you thought it was the count down to the first day of school!)

What: Music in the Park
When: Saturday September 9 – 3:00pm -7:00pm
Where: Green space in front of the DR Recreational Facility
Why: To reconnect with neighbours and enjoy some GREAT music
Brought to you by the DRCA with title sponsor RE/MAX Realtor David Pellettier, and supported by MLA Mike Ellis.
Music in the Park couldn’t happen without the efforts of many people. Please help us in thanking Craig Johnson at Time Music (formerly of Cornerstone Square, and currently located in West Springs Village),  DRCA board members, Michelle Williams, Ben Lee, and Joanne Baker, community member Trish Kawka, plus the dozens of volunteers who are making the event possible (BTW – we are still in need of a few more! – contact if you can help!)The event is free to enjoy for all, but the DRCA will be accepting cash donations that will be directed to The Inglewood Arts & Music School.  This not for profit organization runs out of the Lantern Community Church in Inglewood. They offer private music lessons, children’s choir, and art classes. Their main objective is to offer affordable lessons in Music and Arts to low income families in their community who otherwise would not have an opportunity to participate. All denominations will be collected – thank you in advance for your generosity.

The DRCA is entering the world of technology and all food and drink tickets are available for purchase by cash and CREDIT CARD!!! We hope you enjoy the event responsibly.

This years Music in the Park will feature:
The Sidewinders
The Razzama Jazz Big Band
The Heebee-Jeebees
Mike Mackenzie Band
Backroad Traveler Band

Check out this link to learn more about another one of the great bands!

Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see you at Music in the Park!
